Lesson of a Fallen Comrade
Let me tell you about this guy I knew
Back in the treetops of Kel
He proclaimed his drunkedness on a bridge!
And soon after, yes, he fell.
"What a shame, what a shame!" I cried aloud
From above while holding my beer
"That was expensive ale he had...
...He should have left it up here!"
But hark! I saw good luck below
As I stood up from my seat
Just as if it were a cat...
...His mug landed on its feet!
The others must have seen it too
For we all rushed to the lift
We jumped around to make it go faster
To race to this wonderful gift!
I was really determined to win, you see
I deserved it more than anybody
I was the first to see it fall
So, get out of my way, buddy!
But someone was already drinking it...
...And I swear, it was D'Vinn!!
And really, he made a rude gesture to me!
I wasn't gonna take that from him!
Of course, I did the only thing I could...
...I smashed my mug on his head!
And D'Vinn, he fell, oh yes he did
I was sure he was quite dead!
So I pried the mug out from his grasp
And saw he must have been thirsty!
For by the time we got to him
His mug was already empty!
"What a shame, what a shame!" I cried aloud
While holding the empty mug
"He drank it all before we could kill him...
...What a mean and ugly old thug!"
But the figure then groaned and turned about
(On the ground, the one I quelled)
But it wasn't D'Vinn at all, no no!
But the guy we knew who fell!
So we raised our beers in delight, ho ho!
We did not lose who fell!
But you may not be so lucky, my friend
If you get drunk in the trees of Kel!
