SCCTP Electronic Serials Cataloging

A hands-on training course for the ever-growing field of cataloging electronic serials, this workshop is based on the revision of chapter 12 of the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, 2nd edition, revised, Library of Congress Rule Interpretations, the MARC 21 Formats, and non-CONSER specific policies and practices set forth in the CONSER Cataloging Manual and CONSER Editing Guide. The curriculum includes:

• A review of the basic cataloging of electronic serials
• Advanced problems related to electronic serials
• Current challenges, such as aggregations
• Trends and evolving practices
• Exercises and group discussions.
